Tuscan Farmhouse Kitchen in Devon

You’d be forgiven for thinking that kitchen is located in a farmhouse deep in the Tuscan countryside. With its arched brick ceilings, stone archways, lime washed walls and stone floor, we had to be sympathetic its beautiful layout so distressed, freestanding cabinets were the obvious choice.

Each area has been supplied as a separate pieces of furniture. Along one wall there’s a cavernous larder, sink combination, a separate dishwasher (disguised as a set of drawers) and a beautiful oak plate rack above. There’s three different Farrow & Ball paint colours and dark stained oak finishes to emphasis the freestanding theme.

This is real food lover’s kitchen with an island comprising an untreated oak worktop for chopping and cutting and an undermounted food preparation sink located close by. The two pull-out Liebherr fridges, glazed cupboard and saucepan shelves gives this kitchen so much character and a joy to be in.

Incidentally, the home is located on the Jurassic Coast and the kitchen took an afternoon to install!
